When I think of how some government agencies are run, I think of the first job I ever had.
The very first job that I ever had was at a McDonald’s in the small town that I grew up in. The owner was this man named Joe who owned a series of locations within about sixty miles of each other.
He was a nice guy, very serious about his job while fair and generous at the same exact time. He also did things that you wouldn’t exactly expect a millionaire to do.
For example, one time he happened to come in just before we had three school buses full of kids pull up. A true nightmare scenario for our small town location.
The owner could have left and wished us good luck. What he did instead was he washed his hands and got behind the line giving us an extra person in the assembly area.
What should have been the biggest cluster of ducks half hour of our lives was the smoothest the restaurant ever ran.
The guy literally knew how to do anything. I actually got to boss him around for a second or two when he forgot to season something right and told him he was going to have to do it again. I always laugh about that.
My point is, if you are going to be in charge of something or qualify as an expert you should be able to do every job in the field.
Which brings me to the ATF. These are the guys that when the Democrats finally give the order to come in and take the guns from law-abiding citizens will come in and take them. Putting it lightly I don’t exactly hold them in high regard.
Anyway, recently on an episode of Face the Nation, a television show that’s been going on so long that when it started schools hadn’t started teaching history yet citing lack of material, there was an extended segment that took place at ATF headquarters.
You know, to make you comfortable with your oppressors. The segment was going as on schedule as you might expect and then the camera was focused on a series of different firearms.
It was at this point that the chief firearms expert of the ATF attempted to and failed to field strip a pistol.
It was definitely a sight to behold watching this the first time. It was sort of like watching someone getting their foot caught in a bucket and then getting the other foot stuck in a storm drain.
These are the people that the government is going to use to come take our guns one day. Guys, I think we’re gonna be all right.
