A couple of years ago, the missus and I bought a home security system complete with some of those fancy doorbell cameras. It’s great, we can look up when people come to our house when we’re not there or are taking way too much time getting to the door.
It’s also caught some pretty strange moments like the time a three-foot-long snake crawled onto the roof of our car and stayed there for an hour.
Some folks’ cameras have caught some unfortunate tragedies on theirs.
Recently in an area of Miami, someone’s doorbell camera filmed something that could only be described as being something out of a big-budget disaster movie. An absolutely one-a-billion plane crash took place right on someone’s street corner.
The plane, a Beechcraft Bonanza, had taken off from a nearby small airport and there was a mechanical issue that did not even give the pilot enough time to attempt to find a safe place to land. This must have been a horrifying experience for those poor people on that plane.
To know you are probably not going to make it, and for one of your final thoughts to be that you are likely taking other people with you must have been a sickening thought.
Thank God that they didn’t know exactly how bad the carnage was going to be. After making a crash landing, the plane skidded down a residential street and crashed into a car that was sitting on the side of the road.
As you will see in the video it is extremely difficult to watch, the car and the airplane burst into flames. In addition to two people who were on board dying as a result of the plane crash, young Taylor Bishop was in the car that was struck by the aircraft. He was only four years old.
People that were witnesses to the horrible freak accident were rattled and were quoted by local news outlets saying that if was one of the worst things that they had ever seen in their lives.
The devastation that this accident caused will reach far and wide for all those affected for years to come. It’s another horrible reminder that every day on this planet is a gift from God and that we should live each day to the fullest.
