During the GOP debate, Chris Christie decided to bring Jill Biden into the conversation.
Christie was making the point that teachers’ unions have too much power.
His point was dead on, but his presentation got a D.
Sleeping with the Enemy
First off, I don’t think anyone really wants the visual of Joe Biden sleeping with anyone.
Having said that, Christie was right that Jill Biden whispers in Joe’s ear about helping out the union.
Christie, however, took a lot of heat in the media for how he framed this.
AOC called him “disgusting, misogynistic, and if Republicans want to continue pissing off an entire nation of women, please be my guest.”
CNN host Poppy Harlow called him out the next morning while Christie was doing the media circuit.
Christie doubled down, stating, “Well that’s the truth, isn’t it?”
He added that Jill Biden is “a radical advocate for the worst in the teachers union.”
When asked about AOC’s comments, he replied, “I am standing by the wording. Being called disgusting by a hypocrite like Ocasio-Cortez is the highlight of my day so far.”
Don’t get me wrong… I agree with everything that Christie stated about the teachers’ union.
However, his visual did make me throw up in my mouth.
