On Monday, September 25, the United States Central Command announced some great news. American forces were successful in capturing Abu Halil al-Fad’ani, a key ISIS faciliator and operations official following a targeted raid in northern Syria.
The suspect, Abu Halil al-Fad’ani has been assessed to have connections within the terrorist network across the region and his apprehension is seen as a major breakthrough for U.S. counterterrorism efforts against ISIS.
This now provides greater insight into the region’s network of terrorism and increases our ability to further target members of that group.

The statement from CENTCOM revealed that no civilians were harmed or killed during this mission which has been applauded by many as an example of successful military precision and planning.
According to Lt. Col Troy Garlock, spokesperson for CENTCOM “the capture of ISIS officials like al-Fad’ani increases our ability to locate, target and remove terrorist from the battlefield.”
This statement was further echoed by reports claiming that there are currently 900 troops stationed in Syria as part of efforts to defeat ISIS once and for all.
In addition to this news coming out about Al-Fad’ani’s capture, it was also announced that Kurdish forces supported by US had imposed a curfew on Monday in various towns within Deir el-Zour province and Ziban town near Iraq border which is hosting substantial US military presence since 2015.
This curfew serves as another example of how important it is to maintain security and order in these regions so that justice can be served swiftly when needed without causing any civilian casualties or collateral damage.
The apprehension of Al-Fad’ani serves as an encouraging sign for U.S military operations against terrorism given his extensive relationships with different members of the terrorist network across the region.
