NBC’s Kristen Welker said “no one” is advocating for late term abortions but that’s false and she kept pushing it while interviewing Donald Trump. On “Meet The Press” she talked with him for over an hour. There are a ton of abortion activists that scream for abortion on demand at any time in the pregnancy as well as a number of states that allow this so Welker can’t claim that.

Late term abortion

Trump told Welker, “The radical people on this are really the Democrats that say after five months, six months, seven months, eight months, nine months, and even after birth, you’re allowed to terminate the baby.” Welker said no, “Mr. President, Democrats aren’t saying that.” Actually, some are.

Trump had debated with Hillary Clinton that this shouldn’t be allowed, “I said with Hillary Clinton when we had the debate, I made a statement, ‘rip the baby out of the womb’ in the ninth month. You’re allowed to do that, and you shouldn’t be allowed to do that.”

Welker insisted late term abortion

Isn’t something the Democrats want. “Again, no one is arguing for that. That’s not a part of anyone’s platform, Mr. President.” Alaska, Colorado, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. allow abortion up til birth.

Democrat Senator Ben Cardin boldly stated his position on Fox with Shannon Bream. Bream asked, “Is there a cutoff for you before [the due date]?” Cardin said no. “No, to me, it’s a reproductive, it’s a health care decision. It’s up to women to make that decision.”

Too late for the baby

Many Democrats support the Women’s Health Protection Act. This legalizes abortions after fetal viability in the event the abortionist thinks a pregnancy is harmful to the mother. Biden supports it, Republicans blocked it.

Biden groused about the Republican block, “The protections that the Women’s Health Protection Act would ensure are essential to the health, safety, and progress of our nation.” Trump said Democrats can kill babies, “the Democrats are able to kill the baby after birth. Nobody wants that.” Welker insisted that was wrong. “Democrats don’t want that either.”

Late term blurs the line

No Democrat is going to list infanticide as something they support but some have appeared to support it, such as former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam. He’s a physician.

He was asked in 2019 if he would support abortion when the mother was in labor.

“In this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
