Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may have some liberal ideas but he also has conservative ones. He also comes across as being more honest. Even if he doesn’t win as a Democrat, he could go Independent and steal votes from them. The establishment media has figured that out so if it’s possible to sink to a new low and ignore him, they’ve done it. Kennedy is from a famous family in politics and he’s polling well.
The media is turning a blind eye
The media does what it can to discourage or encourage behavior. But people, including Democrats, want Kennedy to run, not Biden.
Conservatives are excited to talk with him. If Kennedy loses the Democrat nomination but stays in the race, the Democrats are in trouble.
Media won’t do its job
If the media won’t cover him, Democrats and Independents that want Kennedy need to talk to people. Conservatives might try to talk to their Democrat friends and they can’t.
They walk away in frustration, “You can’t talk to Democrats; they’re all crazy!” But we still have to try even if it’s their fault. Not talking doesn’t do any good either.
The media divides
We’re watching our screens, taking in that which we believe while our neighbor tries to talk differently to our face and we can’t or won’t listen. The person on your screen tries to come across as an expert on why your neighbor thinks differently but that person doesn’t know your neighbor.
There’s material out there that helps with starting conversations. A short version of a recent book “How to Talk Politics Without Arguing” starts with saying something good about their candidate while criticizing something you don’t like about yours. Some will not talk but it’s beneficial to all to know there’s a choice in Kennedy that we need to take another look at.
