YouTube removed a Jordan Peterson interview of Democratic Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, prompting accusations again of interfering with an American election. It’s an hour and a half long and it’s now on Twitter. Elon Musk had hosted Kennedy in a Spaces interview earlier this month. Breitbart News had revealed documents from a whistleblower that detailed how YouTube had done this before.
YouTube has a blacklist
There are particular search terms that won’t be honored but instead trigger the system to show the “correct” results that are more politically appropriate. John F. Kennedy’s nephew doesn’t sound like today’s Democrat at all.
He doesn’t say the proper things, challenging what Democrats and the media have put out about COVID and the vaccines. Kennedy spoke with Breitbart, furious that the establishment seemed okay with censorship, saying “we’re now in this situation where without free speech, democracy just withers and dies. Free speech is the fertilizer; it’s the sunlight; it’s the water for democracy. There is no time in history where the people who were censoring speech were the good guys.”

YouTube doesn’t like Kennedy
He’s critical of the open borders and has promised to use tariffs to protect American workers if he’s elected. He’s also not pleased with the heavy Chinese influence in our markets, especially its purchases of farmland throughout the United States.
Supposedly he violated policy against vaccine misinformation. A lot of people were shut down over challenging what the media said about COVID.

YouTube cracked down more in 2021
The platform shut down “several well-known vaccine misinformation spreaders” including a channel belonging to Children’s Health Defense that is affiliated with Kennedy. It insists the World Health Organization and other authorities are correctly affirming the vaccine to be safe.
After Jordan Peterson found out his video was removed he said, “Now YouTube has taken upon itself to actively interfere with a presidential election campaign.” Kennedy put it more bluntly.
“Do you really need Big Tech censors to decide what you should hear? Or would you prefer to be treated as a competent adult who can listen to various viewpoints and come to his or her own conclusions? It may be that YouTube has broken no laws in this blatant interference in the electoral process. In that case, change will come only through public pressure. That’s democracy in action!”
He encouraged people to upload videos to the platform “telling them what you think.”
