Someone that most people thought would get the message is about to enter the presidential race.
A new Super PAC affiliated with former Vice President Mike Pence is up and running.
That makes it pretty clear that Pence is about to enter the 2024 presidential election in the GOP primary.
Uphill Battle
Pence may get some attention from some very conservative and religious Republicans, but he will not get a single vote from a MAGA Republican.
And in this general election, if you cannot MAGA, you have no chance of winning.
Pence cannot compete with DeSantis, let alone Trump, so this campaign makes little sense to me.
Even so, the new PAC will be called Committed to America.
Republican political consultant Scott Reed will be the co-chair of the PAC.
He stated, “People know Mike Pence, they just don’t know him well.
“This campaign is going to reintroduce Mike Pence to the country as his own man, not as vice president but as a true economic, social and national security conservative – a Reagan conservative.”
Bobby Saparow is also working at the PAC.
That will be enough to chase away MAGA Republicans because he used to work for Brian Kemp, Paul Ryan, and Larry Hogan, three people that Trump utterly despises.
I really wish I knew what Pence’s end game was here, but I just don’t see this ending well for him.
