The call was a domestic call, which turn ugly far too often.
A single cop, regardless of gender, walking into this situation is immediately in danger simply because they have no idea what they are walking into.
I have a friend that is a police officer in a major city and he told me he would rather walk into an armed robbery in progress simply because he knows where the danger is.
In far too many of these cases, the attack comes unexpectedly, as was the case here.
Sergeant Morgan Reynolds approached the home of Perisshea Smith, where she encountered DeAngelo Wright.
In the bat of an eyelash, a simple pat down turned into a life-threatening situation for the officer…
The filing against Wright stated, “Officer Reynolds was treated at OU medical center and suffered a possible skull fracture, orbital fracture, concussion, fractured jaw, and several broken teeth.”
She is lucky to be alive, as Wright could have easily taken her weapon when she was down and killed her any everyone else in the home.
