The NBA just lost all right to criticize anyone in this country.
With China now our top adversary, who do you think the NBA chose to partner with in a new venture?
If you said the Chinese, you would be correct.
Partners
Reports broke this week that the NBA is now partnering with the Chinese fintech company Ant Group.
They have joined forces for a strategic partnership in China in areas including broadcasting and video content.
League Commissioner Adam Silver continues to defend the business stance with the Chinese, using the oldest excuse in the book.
If everyone else is doing it, why are you just pointing the finger at me.
He stated, “From a policy standpoint, virtually every Fortune 100 company is doing business in China.
“We have an enormous, humongous trade relationship with China.
“Virtually all the phones in this room, the clothes you are wearing, the shoes you are wearing, are made in China.
“From a larger societal standpoint, this is something where we have to look to the U.S. government for direction.”
I think he actually just made our point for us… we need to break from China, not continue to rely on the country for our entire supply chain.
