Trump Rejected, Judge Issues Final Ruling

Donald Trump’s quest to have the gag order lifted in the hush-money case has failed again.

Trump and his attorneys have been trying to get that order lifted since it was first issued.

Even though the case is over and now in the appeals process, the order will remain in place per the latest judge’s ruling.

Keep Quiet

For the most part, Trump can now say whatever he wants about the case, but prosecutors and their families are still under the gag order protection.

The New York Supreme Court did not see any reason to lift that order while Trump appeals the case.

The court issued a ruling, stating, “No substantial constitutional question is directly involved.”

This case is now set for sentencing on November 26, as the court agreed to move sentencing until after the election so as not to impact the outcome of the election either way.

There are some that believe it may have been a mistake for Trump to have the sentencing delayed, as any jail sentence would have likely benefitted Trump in the election.

Thus far, Trump has been able to play the courts up to his advantage, and he surely would have played the victim had he been sentenced to jail.

I still don’t believe Judge Merchan will be foolish enough to issue such a sentence, as this is a “crime” that is usually given a fine, penalty, back taxes, and a public scolding.

Even if Merchan does order Trump to jail, I don’t see him enforcing that sentence until after the appeals process is played out.

Given the apparent mistakes and bias in the courtroom, I maintain that if the verdict is not outright overturned, it will be significantly reduced.
