The White House is about to have yet another headache on its hands.
An appeals court just upheld a lower court ruling against the Biden administration.
Now they want to take this to the Supreme Court, where they are likely to lose again.
Rights Violation
The court ruled that Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine, economics, and health research policy at Stanford University, had his First Amendment rights violated.
He was one co-authors of the Great Barrington Declaration.
This was a published piece that argued against the effectiveness of the lockdowns, and his argument, as we know it now, was pretty much dead on
At the time, however, the Biden administration asked social media outlets to remove and censor him, and they did.
This was not some quack, but a well-respected professor at one of the top universities in the country.
Dr. Bhattacharya stated, “We were just acting as scientists, but almost immediately, we were censored. Google de-boosted us.
“Our Facebook page was removed. It was just a crazy time.
“The government had a vast censorship enterprise.
“It was systematically used to threaten and coerce and jawbone and tell all these social media companies, ‘You better listen to us: Censor these people, censor these ideas, or else.’”
Now, if Biden loses at the Supreme Court, and I see no reason that the court will override this ruling, it means that a presidential administration was blatantly violating the First Amendment rights of its citizens.
That stuff happens in China and Russia, you know, communist countries.
Is that the road America is headed to if Democrats remain in charge?
