Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) was given a plea deal for his little fire alarm stunt.
The New York Democrat has to pay a $1,000 fine and write a letter of apology.
The problem with this is that the full video has finally been released, and it proves that Bowman was lying about everything.
Lock Him Up
If pulling the alarm had truly been an accident, we could have let this slide.
However, Bowman is a former teacher and principal, so we know he knows how fire alarms operate.
He claimed, however, that he was just in a rush to vote and panicked.
The video tells a different story.
When Bowman approached the doors, he never tried to open them.
Instead, he removed the emergency exit signage from the doors, then he walked over to the fire alarm and activated it.
You can see in the video all this was done without hesitation, so he knew exactly what he was doing…

Bowman, upon announcing that he was going to take a plea deal, stated that the investigation found that he did not do this on purpose.
How could anyone watch that video and not think this was a purposeful act?
Not only should Bowman face expulsion for this stunt, but the Capitol Police investigator should be brought before Congress to explain how this conclusion came to be.
