A leader in the Democrat caucus is stepping down from his position.
Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) has been very vocal that he does not believe Joe Biden can win in 2024.
He openly called for challengers in the Democrat primary race.
Now, however, his statements have made other members uncomfortable, so he is stepping down from his leadership position.
Don’t Challenge Joe
In announcing his resignation from leadership, Phillips stated, “My convictions relative to the 2024 presidential race are incongruent with the majority of my caucus, and I felt it appropriate to step aside from elected leadership.”
He was also asked about running against Joe Biden in the primary, to which he responded that he is considering it.
However, he also knows that he does not have the public profile to run against and beat Joe Biden.
His concern, though, is that there are no other alternatives willing to step up.
Democrats have gone all-in on Joe Biden, even with all of his gaffes.
They are banking on the “Joe is not the bad orange man” narrative to win this election.
Their plan goes into the tank if someone else comes up with this nomination, however.
Can you imagine what a DeSantis-Haley ticket would do to Biden?
It would be a bloodbath, possibly extending the majority in the House and more than likely taking back the Senate.
If any of Trump’s cases conclude before primary voting starts, this race gets turned on its ear.
Every poll I have read shows Trump losing about two-thirds of his support if he gets convicted, which would put DeSantis at the front of the line.
The nightmare scenario is that Trump wins the nomination, then gets convicted, which is what Democrats are banking on.
Make no mistake about it… these indictments were coordinated to create chaos in the upcoming presidential election.
