Sheriff Troy E. Nehls took exception to the vulgar display and sought to teach the offender a lesson in respect and civility by pursuing charges related to the offensive sticker.

He went on Facebook informing the public that he was looking into the matter with local prosecutors who could pursue disorderly conduct charges against Karen Fonseca, the woman behind the offensive statement.
Though she refused to remove it from her truck claiming that it had been there for almost a year without any issue, Nehls insisted that she faced consequences for her crude message which he believed had no place on the streets of his county.
