As a legendary rocker, Ted Nugent recently took to social media to call out the leftists who were criticizing country singer Jason Aldean’s song “Try That in a Small Town.”
He referred to them as emotionally immature and without soul.
Nugent believes that the leftists have completely missed the point of the song, which is about friendly camaraderie still present in many small towns across America.
Aldean released his song back in May, but there was little uproar at the time.
However, when he released its music video on July 14th to promote his upcoming album, liberals claimed it was racist and encouraged lynching.
This caused an outrage among left-wing rioters who wanted to silence or cancel Aldean’s performance at a sold-out show in Cincinnati.
But their attempts backfired since this controversy catapulted “Try That in a Small Town” to the top of the music charts due to all of Aldean’s supporters standing up for him on social media.
Lee Greenwood and Travis Tritt are only two of the many other country stars that defended Aldean by saying that this song is patriotic and encouraging instead of offensive like lefties assumed it was.
Similarly, Nugent argued that these criticisms will never stop him from expressing himself through music due to all of his past experiences with angry lefties online and elsewhere.
Plus, he believes that anyone with “half a brain” can tell that this song isn’t about racism but rather about self-defense and supporting one another during difficult times – values still practiced by citizens living in small towns around America today.
