The Missouri Democrat Party recently sent out a chilling message to those who support President Donald Trump.
In an appalling tweet, they called for the burning down of homes adorned with pro-Trump decorations and paraphernalia.
This is another example of how far leftism has gone in this country, and it should be concerning to anyone who values their freedom of speech.
It all started when Jon Cooper, a lackey for both Joe Biden and Barack Obama, tweeted a photo of a home that was decorated with signs that supported President Trump.
He captioned the photo by asking what people would do if this was their neighbor’s house.

The official account for the Missouri Democrat Party responded by tweeting “the roof, the roof is on [fire emoji] we don’t need no water let the ‘insert your word’ burn!”
Of course, this statement was swiftly deleted after it caused an uproar on social media from people who were appalled at such a threatening message being sent out so openly.

Donald Trump Jr., son of President Donald Trump, weighed in on this incident as well by saying “no big deal, just the official account of the Missouri Democrat Party openly calling to burn down the homes of Trump supporters.”
While some people may have been critical about Don Jr’s response or felt that he was overreacting, there really isn’t any other way to describe such an obvious threat being made by someone associated with one political party against someone else who supports another political party.
It goes without saying that such behavior should not be tolerated in any society and it’s important that we take steps to ensure that these types of incidents are not allowed to occur again in our nation’s future elections.

What makes this incident particularly alarming is its implications for political violence in our country going forward.
If one side can get away with making threats like these then there is nothing stopping them from taking more drastic action in order to further their agenda or silence those who oppose them politically.
