Joe Biden is walking a very fine line every time he opens up his mouth about Hunter Biden.
Based on the scrutiny that was levied against Donald Trump during his presidency, conservative outlets are paying attention to everything that Joe says on this front.
Biden is now being accused of trying to influence the DOJ in this case by professing his son’s innocence on TV.
The Line
If Joe Biden were anyone else, this would not matter.
However, as president, a profession of innocence can be seen as influencing the direction the DOJ takes against his son.
Cully Stimson, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, stated, “However, as the President of the United States, Biden knows (or should know) that it is entirely inappropriate for him to weigh in on an ongoing federal investigation of a suspect because as the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, and the person assigned the Pardon Power under the Constitution, he should not pre-judge any federal case until the case has come to its natural conclusion.”
Mike Chamberlain, director of Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT), added, “Especially in the case of the President, whom DOJ officials are ultimately responsible to, any statement commenting on a case or investigation could likely sway those working on the case and could tend to manipulate the outcome.
“While this is clearly irresponsible, it may be worse.
“Given that the DOJ is already under fire after reports that a whistleblower has alleged political interference in career officials’ recommendations to prosecute Hunter Biden, the President’s statement could be interpreted by some as akin to potential obstruction of justice.”
For the most part, media outlets have accepted every word that Biden has said as truth, even though he has been proven a liar on many fronts.
He was able to get all those intelligence officials to sign off on that letter that killed the laptop story to the point that outlets are still not covering the story.
I have little doubt that Hunter Biden was the funnel that helped the money pour into this corrupt family, we just need that one good thread to pull on that will unravel everything.
