In Hell
Local reports stated that the man and a co-conspirator kidnapped the migrants on March 18.
They had been traveling on Interstate 10 at the time when they were stopped and forced into another vehicle.
The kidnappers allegedly contacted a family member of one of the hostages to ask for a ransom payment.
That payment was reportedly made, then the kidnappers wanted more money.
Police were able track them, which resulted in a standoff.

When the breach was made, one kidnapper was killed, and a second apprehended.
