Climate Envoy John Kerry appears to be a bit upset with big oil.
Kerry seemed to believe that he had a deal where these fossil fuel companies would start to invest in clean energy.
He recently found that this is not the case and is unhappy about it.
Double-Crossed
Kerry stated, “If they have a plan and they know that they can reduce the emissions, then it’s an understandable decision.
“But as of this moment, we just don’t see the technology and capacity to be able to bring it to scale in a commercially viable way.
“And we need those kinds of assurances.
“They’re critical to the transition. I accept that.”
The problem is that Kerry’s boss keeps threatening to end big oil, so why would they invest in a business that may or may not be around in 10 years.
Perhaps instead of fighting against big oil, he would be better served to work with them and provide assurances that renewable and fossil fuels can co-exist.
It should not be one or the other, but that is how the Democrats keep playing it.
