Republicans are making it quite clear that Secretary Mayorkas is on their hit list.
If they can find any reason to impeach him, it will be a done deal in the House.
That is the last thing he wants on his resume, so now he is spinning narratives, digging himself an even deeper hole.
Lies and More Lies
Mayorkas was invited to speak at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
While speaking, he said all kinds of things that are up for question.
In part, he stated, “We’re executing a comprehensive strategy to secure our borders and build a safe, orderly and humane immigration system.
“Two weeks ago, we announced new lawful pathways for non-citizens seeking relief in the United States, accompanied by a consequence regime for those who do not avail themselves of those processes.
“Since then, encounters from the targeted countries have dropped significantly.”
The data does not match up with the narrative that Mayorkas is pitching.
The numbers for December were actually a new record.
Additionally, that new migration plan is nothing more than a shell game, legalizing 30,000 migrants that would normally be considering illegal immigrants.
