Harmeet Dhillon is cheering over the January 6 committee withdrawing their Donald Trump subpoena. This comes as Dhillon is challenging Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel’s seat in the Republican National Committee. She shared a screenshot of the letter from the January 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson announcing the withdrawal. It’s been a year and a half of challenges against that event.
January 6 committee is winding down
Dhillon tweeted out the victory.
“After my firm filed suit on separation of powers grounds to block January 6 House Select Committee’s illegitimate subpoena to President Trump over his activities while president — the committee waved the white flag & withdrew subpoena. We were confident of victory. in court, given precedent & refusal of prior presidents to testify in Congress. J6 committee wasted millions for a purely political witch-hunt, total abuse of process & power serving no legitimate legislative purpose.”
Thompson wrote, “As you may know, the Select Committee has concluded its hearings, released its final report and will very soon reach its end. In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena.”

Dhillon was confident
That the January 6 committee would back down. She spoke with Ben Shapiro about the vote gathering process.
“We must beat the Democrats at their own game. I’ve already received a tremendous outpouring of support.”
The January 6 committee wants Trump barred
After a year and a half of challenging the results from the last presidential election, the committee released a report asking that Donald Trump not be allowed to hold office again. All members also wanted him to be charged for a number of things including obstructing a proceeding, attempting to defraud the United States, making false statements about the government and inciting an insurrection.
Trump is running for office again and he’s been castigating the committee, calling them the “Unselect Committee of political hacks.” He was happy too to hear the subpoena had been dropped.
