Defense Secretary Austin made a move that really needs to be explained.

This administration refuses to admit that we have an immigration crisis on the border.

Yet, Austin just approved the deployment of National Guard troops through the end of Fiscal Year 2023.

No Crisis?

If the National Guard is deployed domestically during times of crisis, why is this administration continuing to deploy troops at the border?

This order was initially put in place in 2018 by Donald Trump.

He had authorized 5,000 troops, although there are only about 2,700 troops there now.

The new Austin order only allows 2,500 troops.

The new order comes after FY2022 reports were released, showing more than 2.3 million encounters.

This is yet another question that will have to be asked of Austin once the GOP takes control of Congress.

It is a simple question… if we have no crisis at the border, then why are we taking crisis measures?
