The FBI threatened the life of at least one person who believes in life, going to their home and drawing their weapons. A number of pro-life activists protested at an abortion facility in Tennessee last year. Some were paid a visit. Others were ordered to report to authorities in their area and face federal charges. Chet Gallagher faced guns drawn at his home. He led a protest at Mt. Juliet, TN on March 2021.

The FBI has too much power

Gallagher was out of state when federal officials came to his door. Another pro-life activist, AJ Hurley, was questioned when the officials found Gallagher wasn’t home.

Hurley stated, “The FBI isn’t even performing the investigations. The DOJ is doing their own investigations and using the FBI as their arm of that organization.”

No warrant

Hurley continued after mentioning normally the FBI issues warrants. “Instead, the DOJ is … sending local branches of the FBI with arrest warrants to be their strong arm.”

Hurley confirmed the protestors were called and told there were arrest warrants and that people should turn themselves in. Some protestors involved were Paul Place, Caroline Davis, Dr. Coleman Boyd, Dennis Green, and Heather Idoni.

The FBI is aggressive

Some were arrested last year and had to post bail on misdemeanor charges. Hurley clarified they were charged with Freedom of Access to Clinic Act (FACE) and conspiracy which could yield 10 years in prison.

Hurley had gone to the abortion facility a couple weeks before the FBI visit. He had waited outside before asking if he could speak to the officers. The officers instead came out to speak with the group. A couple days later, Hurley and others in that group were served with the federal charge of FACE. Hurley asserted that, “This is a new tactic the DOJ has been thawing [sic] at pro-lifers to see if the charges stick.”

In September, a group of FBI agents visited the home of Mark Houck, another pro-life activist in PA. He leads a non profit group that offers sidewalk counseling to ladies considering abortion. This might have come from a dismissed federal case in Philadelphia that the DOJ somehow picked up.
