How many would abandon their home for safety, leaving others to fight their war? A lot of Democrats. You don’t see a lot of Democrats standing up for Biden. It’s all anti-Trump. There’s an even division of those happy with what Biden has done, not happy and people who won’t even talk about it. The true Americans will stand and fight for their home like our forefathers did in the 1700’s. It can be lost.
Most Americans believe in our history
The question was: “If you were in the same position as Ukrainians are now, do you think that you would stay and fight or leave the country?” A little over half, or 55% would stay and fight while 38% would flee.

Americans need to fight
if you want to stay where you are. Republicans and Independents were broken down further. The majority of both would stay, 68% Republican, 57% Independent.
Republicans were less likely to flee or 25%, Independents were more likely to leave at 36%. Most of Democrats, or 52%, said they’d flee. Less than half or 40% would stay to fight.
Americans are more likely to stand their ground
Quinnipiac polling analyst Tim Malloy summed up the results, “When confronted with a terrible hypothetical that would put them in the shoes of the Ukrainians, Americans say they would stand and fight rather than seek safety in another country.”
Most Americans, or 79%, support a military response if Putin goes beyond the Ukraine. Americans also think Putin would use nuclear weapons against NATO countries 60-28.
Russian civilians have their hands tied
Malloy continued, “Russians are largely in the dark about and unable to halt the destruction being wrought by Putin, say Americans who see the Russian leader as mentally unstable. And half of Americans liken Putin to modern history’s darkest villain, Adolf Hitler.”
Half of America isn’t happy how Joe Biden is handling this. Less than half, or 42% approve while 45% disapprove. A minority or 13% don’t even want to go there. Most also weren’t happy with his performance as President 38-51 with 11% not even willing to talk about it.
This poll calls everybody, including landlines. “The Quinnipiac University Poll, directed by Doug Schwartz, Ph.D. since 1994, conducts independent, non-partisan national and state polls on politics and issues. Surveys adhere to industry best practices and are based on random samples of adults using random digit dialing with live interviewers calling landlines and cell phones.”
