Military On Standby, With Trumps Finger on the Button

We’re winding down one war, starting another. You wanted a revolution? Be careful what you wish for, you may have it. Trump’s not afraid to fight. Governor Tim Walz activated the National Guard but it seems there was no clear direction. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey ordered the National Guard. Gov. Walz did that but put it in Frey’s hands. Trump did describe them as being weak. The police precinct was allowed to be overrun.

Both Trump and Gov. Walz understand this is more than just George Floyd and it’s not right. Gov. Walz though seems powerless to stop it. Has the DNC told him to stand down, let his city burn?

How many people in Minneapolis voted for Trump? There are minority business owners there, not just white men. Two have been shown in tears or nearly there. One was screaming at the protestors, why are you doing this? I built my business from nothing, now it’s burned to the ground! Another one had a sports bar. His GoFundMe is just shy of a million dollars.

Republican party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan called for the two gentlemen to resign. “For four straight nights we have helplessly watched our neighborhood businesses be looted and destroyed, we’ve watched as violent protesters have rioted in our streets and forced public transport and major thoroughfares to shut down, and we have watched our city burn to the ground.”

“Governor Walz and Mayor Frey have been largely silent, other than a handful of unhelpful tweets and press conferences blaming everyone, but themselves. Minneapolis is decimated. Minneapolis is damaged to a level we never could have imagined. The destruction caused this past week will unfortunately live in our memories forever. It’s a dark stain on our state.”

“These gentleman have demonstrated they are not equipped to run Minneapolis or Minnesota. Their inaction has led to riots across our country. Our state can not move forward or start to heal with either in office. We call for the resignation of both, so no additional harm and damage comes to our people and state.”

Sometimes just showing the deadly potential is all that’s needed. Cowards will turn and run. Peace through strength has been proven many times.

“At this time there is no request by the Governor of Minnesota for Title 10 forces to support the Minnesota National Guard or state law enforcement,” said Jonathan Rath Hoffman, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman, “As a prudent planning measure, the department has directed U.S. Northern Command to increase the alert status of several units should they be requested by the Governor to support Minnesota authorities.”

Trump has the option to federalize the Minnesota National Guard. Walz strongly preferred people familiar with the area. The Insurrection Act of 1807 allows the President to send in troops to help with lawlessness.
