A leader of the Proud Boys was just sentenced in one of the more than 1,000 cases from the January 6 rioting.

Joe Biggs will now be spending the next 17 years of his life behind bars.

The judge, Timothy Kelly, tagged him as a terrorist, enabling a much stiffer sentence.

Level Justice?

Now, I have no problem with people who broke the law that day being charged and going to prison.

My question is why are these sentences so stiff and the people who were rioting during the summer of 2020 getting off with a slap on the wrist?

I just read an article that pretty much explained that… the system is terrified that conservatives are finally fighting back, using the same exact gameplan as Democrats and liberals.

Kelly, who was appointed by Trump, stated, “I’ve reviewed the evidence of Mr. Biggs’ calculation and deliberation in taking down that fence.

“When that fence came down it facilitated the mob in overwhelming law enforcement, entering the Capitol and eventually halting the proceedings.”

He added, “What happened on Jan. 6 harmed an important American custom that helps support the rule of law and the Constitution.

“That day broke our tradition of peacefully transferring power which is among the most precious things that we had as Americans. Notice I said had. We don’t have it anymore.”

I think that is a bit dramatic.

Does anyone in this country truly think that those rioters were going to overtake our government?

Joe Biden took office, without any challenge, so the idea that a peaceful transition of power was threatened is idiotic.

What about the people who rioted on the day that Donald Trump took his oath of office? Were they charged with sedition?

Of course not because they were liberals… as you can see, the heavy hand of the law only applies to conservatives these days.
