Governor Kemp better get his butt in gear.
A report broke this week that a commission has been formed in Atlanta, GA, to possibly pursue reparations in the state for black Americans who are descendants of slaves.
The Atlanta-area Fulton County Board of Commissioners has given a task force $250,000 for the purpose.

Dr. Karcheik Sims-Alvarado, the chair of the Reparations Task Force Advisory Board, stated, “We have to address the wrong that existed in this country.”
She continued, “Looking at slavery, looking at eminent domain, and also convict labor.”
Task Force Advisory Board Vice Chair Marcus Coleman added, “Considering this is the birth county, city, and state of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., prior to his assassination, reparations for slavery were one of Dr. King’s top priorities.
“With that understanding, Fulton County is on the right side of history for monetarily honoring the continuation of his work.”
Georgia, which was once a solid red state, has been turning shades of purple in recent years, now almost virtually entirely blue.
It will also be quite interesting to see how taxpayers react to their tax dollars being spent to possibly give them a bill in the billions.
My guess is that the state will start to go back red anytime soon now.
