Traveling on business such as I do, I end up having to eat at fast food places way more than I should or quite frankly want to.
That being said, I have come to learn that some things at fast food places are a complete and total pain in the butt.
Like this whole mess that some places have now where they don’t or in some cases can’t give you a plastic straw because a bunch of liberals got together and decided to make it illegal.
It’s maddening. I have tried to adapt and use the paper straws that some of these places give out now. After about two or three sips of your drink, the paper straw just becomes one long spitwad.
This is why I have been forced to take the extra step of actually bringing a pack of plastic straws along with me. Saves time from having to educate a bunch of people who don’t want to learn how stupid they are being about how stupid they are being.
But I digress. It would be one thing if they wanted to make a rule that made sense and then stop there. However, liberals are not trying to go above and beyond to see just how many rules they can make just for the sake of making them.
The straw thing you can almost buy if not find it inconvenient. Now though, they are trying to ban single-use cups in chain restaurants. I mean, think about that for a second. How would that even work?
I imagine their idea would be that it would be like the states where you return empty soda cans for a dime. Then they would have people producing fake cups or something and throwing their whole system out of order.
What’s funnier about it is that these single-use cups are made primarily out of paper. In some cases yes they are made of plastic but if they want to recycle them they can.
I’m not against that, but the problem is that they are taking something that isn’t a problem and wanting it to be one so they can fix it.
I mean, it makes sense to have reusable cups if you are sitting down and dining inside. The drive-thru part is what gets me. Do they think that people are going to return them? Like I said before, they’ll set up some grand idea for redemption and then find a way to screw it up.
I’m all for a rule that makes sense, but banning single-use cups at restaurants is about as goofy of an idea as that time my Uncle Tommy tried inventing a football bat.
