It seems that ordinary Palestinians are defying orders from Hamas to stand firm and running south for their lives. Some of them didn’t run fast enough. It’s been reported that “a blast has struck a convoy on an evacuation route in Gaza, killing a number of people including several children.” They were given a deadline to be gone but no guarantees the action wouldn’t start early.
Palestinians flee south
As Israeli forces get all lined up for their planned major ground assault, they warned Palestinians living in and around Gaza City on October 13 “that they must move south to avoid being caught up in Israeli military operations.”
Even though they announced “a six-hour evacuation window on Saturday” residents need to get moving and keep moving until they’re clear. They didn’t stop the air assaults, they’re only delaying the ground invasion.
Jewish forces including tanks and troops are massed at the Gaza border while the Israelis “continued bombarding the densely populated territory.”

The Palestinians started it by dropping paratroopers into Israel and shooting everyone in sight. The Gaza Strip is already looking like a full blown war zone. “Videos authenticated by CNN showed a scene of extensive destruction following Friday’s blast on Salah Al-Deen street.”
They had people including children piled up on a flat-bed trailer to haul them out of town when the rocket blasted them to the garden of Paradise.
Before the suggestion to evacuate was issued, “more than 400,000 Palestinians had already been internally displaced by the past week of fighting as conditions worsen inside the bombarded strip.” They should have thought about that before they started it.
Rights groups freaking out
Even with an evacuation order issued for Palestinians to run, the liberal human rights activists are complaining about the dirty fighting. Both sides appear guilty of major atrocities generally considered war crimes. They’re artificial laws, rules and regulations don’t mean a whole lot in the middle of the desert.
This war has centuries old cultural overtones and the battles won’t be fought by any set rules. The only thing that matters is do unto others what they would do unto you and do it first.
IDF warned the Palestinians that they “would allow people to move south for their own safety on specified streets of Gaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time.” Hamas instantly used the information to blend their forces into the crowds “to protect themselves from strikes in the area.”

The activists were complaining that it’s “unclear how widely the messaging has been received on the ground given the current electricity and internet blackout.” The goat humpers don’t need power to get the word, IDF responds. According to IDF spokesperson Major Doron Spielman, “everybody in Gaza City now knows exactly what’s happening.”
The Palestinians know what bombs falling from the sky means. Besides that, “they’ve been notified in Arabic, in multiple languages on every available platform, both electronic and non-electronic platforms. Everyone in Gaza City knows that they need to go past Wadi Gaza.”
Egypt is supposed to do their part and provide an opening in their border. They grudgingly agreed to that but as nervous Arabs are lining up in the desert, nobody has shown up with keys to the gates.
