It’s every homeowner’s nightmare: finding someone living in their house without their permission. Ashly Guardino, from California, recently experienced this fear when she heard strange noises coming from her home and went to investigate.
To her shock and horror, she found someone had been living under her floorboards “for months”.
Ashly was woken up by strange noises that seemed to be coming from inside the house. Assuming it was an animal or critter, she got out of bed to take a look around outside. What she found instead was a human arm feeling around the side of her house.
Despite being half-asleep at the time, Ashly realized there must be someone who had broken into her home living under the floorboards. She then called police officers who arrived with guns drawn and arrested the suspect after he emerged from his hiding spot. The man appeared to be high on drugs during his arrest according to Ashly’s report afterwards.
The incident has since gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok where viewers are horrified and outraged at what happened to Ashly – especially as it could happen to anyone else too.
