It seems like Halle Berry is always making headlines, but her recent decision to post a nude photo on social media while in her 50s has been generating some buzz.
It started when the Oscar-winning actress shared an image of herself standing naked on a balcony drinking wine, along with the caption “I do what I wanna do.”
The response to this picture was mostly positive, but one comment in particular caught Berry’s eye: “Imagine being in your 50s, still posting nudes for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with the grandkids. Aging with dignity is no longer a thing.”
Berry responded by retweeting this comment and adding “Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?”
This snarky reply sparked an uproar on social media platforms as people weighed in on their views about how older women should act.
The next day, Berry posted a follow-up photo of herself looking fabulous while walking down a beach wearing an animal print dress that further solidified her stance against ageism and aging gracefully without shame or embarrassment.
Berry has previously spoken out about enjoying the aging process saying she feels very satisfied with her life at 56 years old since she has both her career and family around her now unlike ever before – something she attributes largely due to growing older gracefully without sacrificing personal values or beliefs along the way.
Berry defiantly believes that beauty lies deeper than just physical appearances which makes sense considering how far our society has evolved past relying solely upon looks alone when determining someone’s worth whether it be romantically, professionally, personally etc.
She continues by explaining that although our bodies will eventually become wrinkled with age we shouldn’t let that prevent us from living our lives how we want because at end day it’s what inside matters most not outside your body.
