Whether he was on your team or not, you had to respect the fact he was one of the most electric players in the game.
He has brought that same electricity to coaching, but some of his players were not taking to it very well.
Rude Awakening
Sanders took over a struggling Jackson State program and turned it around to a SWAC powerhouse in only three years time.
The only thing his team did not do was win a bowl game, but they just barely missed on that last year.
Sanders suddenly became one of the hottest coaching prospects in college.
His old-school style was clearly a culture shock to the Colorado Buffaloes, who secured his services after the 2022 season ended.

Nearly two dozen players left before spring practice and another 18 left after the first spring game.
Sanders could care less, however, because if they are not buying into his system, he has no time for them.
He has made it quite clear, it is his way or the highway, period.
With Colorado only winning one game last season, I am thinking he would be fine if the entire team walked out and he was able to recruit a whole new team.
I would give Buffalo two or three years, then I would bet just about anything Sanders will have them finally enjoying a winning season.
