Amusement parks are supposed to be a place of joy, happiness, and fun.
Sadly, we are seeing too many of them result in horrific tragedy as of late.
The most recent being a 6-year-old boy that fell after a zipline harness malfunctioned.
Tragedy Strikes
It was only a few days ago that tragedy struck at a Swedish amusement park.
A rollercoaster was derailed, leading to the death of one person and almost a dozen injured.
This accident occurred at a Mexican amusement park on a zipline ride.
The harness of the child broke at the Parque Fundidora’s Amazonian Expedition.
The child fell some 40 feet into an artificial pool that was located beneath the zipline ride.
After the child fell into the pool, a tourist jumped into the pool to help the child, saving his life with his quick actions.
The child is expected to recover from the injuries, but his parents stated that he is “psychologically damaged” and “afraid.”
After the accident, several attractions were shut down by a government agency pending inspection and an investigation into the accident.
