I would be willing to wager today that there are more fake boobs than real ones walking around in this country.
Not only are more women getting breast augmentation surgery, but they are getting supersized boobs that look more clownish than sexy.
That was the case of a woman named Ilana, only her surgery did not go as planned.
Supersize Me
Ilana wanted to get bigger boobs to be more attractive to her boyfriend, but she went a bit too far.
She experienced horrific complications from the surgery and had to do something unthinkable to solve the problem.
Ilana ended up going on a TV show called “Botched,” where some of the best plastic surgeons in the country helped people that had botched surgeries.
The two surgeons on the show were Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif.
Dr. Dubrow examined Ilana, noticing that blood vessels on her breasts had dilated, creating even more problems for the surgery.
He told her, “That in itself indicates tissue injury and damage. Look how peely your skin is. Now does it peel like this normally?”
He added, “We do know we need to take the implants out; we do know we need to do a lifting procedure, which means reduce the areola, reduce a lot of the breast envelope and lift you up.
“But we do know that doing that in one stage is extraordinarily risky to your breast tissue and to your nipple.”
Because of the dangers of doing the surgery as was, Dr. Dubrow suggested draining the implants by inserting a needle into her breast, then allowing the skin to recover before the operation.
He explained, “Ruptured implants tend to cause shrinking and thickening of the breast tissue and that is exactly what Ilana’s breasts need before she can have the definitive surgery.
“It saves you from having to have two operations or more, which would avoid all the risks of anesthesia and the significant risks of the surgery itself.”
Ilana allowed the doctor to move forward with the procedure, adding herself to the list of successful botched jobs that these two doctors were able to fix.
