Pentagon Denies Our Warships Were ‘Chased Away’ By China

The Pentagon denied that our warships were chased away by China. They were leaving anyway, the brass insists. To prove a point, they sent more ships through the disputed waters. That prompted a testy reply from Beijing warning if we try it again, expect the “unexpected.” More and more western pundits are convinced they’re serious. The sinking of a battleship might be what it takes to wake up the politically “woke” war room.

Pentagon teasing China

On Thursday, March 23, the Pentagon “denied Chinese claims that American warships were chased away from disputed islands in the South China Sea.” The communists claimed they “forced the USS Milius, a guided-missile destroyer part of the U.S. Navy’s 7th Fleet, away from the disputed Paracel Islands.

That’s not true, a U.S. spokesman stated. “USS Milius is conducting routine operations in the South China Sea and was not expelled. The United States will continue to fly, sail and operate wherever international law allows.” Even if it starts World War III. That’s why they did it again on Friday.

The Pentagon seems to be bored with having all sorts of high tech weapons of death and destruction without being able to use them. They’re itching for someone to start a war, even if they have to do it themselves. Everyone knows that Taiwan is a touchy subject to Xi Jinping. Near there are a chain of islands. The “Paracel Islands are occupied by Chinese forces but have contested claims from both Taiwan and Vietnam.” China makes it clear, they aren’t giving them up.

The way China South Command spokesman Colonel Tian Junli puts it, the Milius “illegally entered China’s Xisha territorial waters without approval from the Chinese government, undermining peace and stability in the South China Sea.” They’re going to keep “one eye” out for us like that mole in the FBI was for Hunter Biden’s Chinese trading partners. That was the news.

Friday started out as a copy of the day before. The Milius was back sailing around in the Paracel chain and China was jumping up and down about it again. This time they called us a bully.

The act of the U.S. military seriously violated China’s sovereignty and security, severely breached international laws, and is more ironclad evidence of the U.S. pursuing navigation hegemony and militarizing the South China Sea.” This time it was Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Tan Kefei at the podium. The Pentagon isn’t listening, he noted.

Expect the unexpected

Tan politely told told news reporters “we solemnly request that the U.S. immediately stop such actions of provocation, otherwise it will bear the serious consequences of unexpected incidents caused by this.

That was clearly a veiled threat to the Pentagon. Those “unexpected” incidents are things like accidentally running into a torpedo.

The Way Tan said it, using words which they might not understand at the Pentagon, “China would take all necessary measures” to safeguard its security. They’re really friendly with Moscow and just brokered a historic deal that has Iran and the Saudi Arabians talking again.

Xi made it clear he’s out to corner world domination. Is it too much to ask for Uncle Sam to stay out of Taiwan’s affairs? All Joe Biden can say is “gnarf.

Beijing continues to insist that “it drove away the U.S. ship from the waters.” The Navy plays it down as a case where they were all happily sailing along next to each other in the same vicinity.

Crews on the Milius cheerfully traded one finger hand gestures with crews on the Chinese vessels and everyone did it again today. All good fun and nothing but a pleasure cruise, the Pentagon fantasizes.
