Yet another case of political corruption in the City of Brotherly Love.
It is truly astonishing that the city that is so ripe with history of our country’s founding is such a corrupt disgrace.
The latest being the conviction of former Philadelphia City Councilman Bobby Henon.
The city is so corrupt, the presiding judge actually called him a “good man.”
Mob Tactics
The nuts and bolts of this is a typical mob play… using a no show job as a payoff.
Yet, Henon said he never considered the free paycheck as a payoff.
Judge Jeffrey Schmehl, in his ruling, stated, “The people of Philadelphia thought they were electing a councilman, but instead they were electing a minion for John Dougherty and Local 98.
“That is clearly not what the city bargained for.”
He would go on to describe Henon as “a good man who [was] convicted of doing a bad thing.”
Henon was given a 3 ½ year sentence as well as a $50,000 fine.
He also has to return the $207,000 he received in salary form his no-show job.
Henon was the inside man for Local 98 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Unions and politicians… just loaded with corruption. Pretty much defines the entire Democrat Party.
