A disturbing story came out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Three construction workers that were working on a building in the uptown area were killed.
Two others were injured.
The Collapse
According to the reports, scaffolding that was set up around the building collapsed.
The workers fell 700 feet to the ground, with the wall falling down on top of them.
WBT’s Mark Garrison reported, “three construction workers were killed when scaffolding apparently collapsed.
“The workers reportedly plummeted 70 feet, with a wall then toppling onto them.”
First responders were on the scene in minutes, immediately going through the rubble to try to find survivors.
We can only imagine how much worse this could have been had the area been more populated at the time of the accident.
