We all thought the Musk-Twitter deal was dead in the water.
Musk had pulled out, but then Twitter made moves to force the sale.
They may regret that now, as Musk is all in, but he has some changes he wants to make.
Scale Down
After Twitter flexed its muscle, Musk was given a deadline until October 28 to close the deal or wind up in court.
Musk decided to move forward.
Twitter had already announced that it would be trimming some payroll, but Musk has something much larger planned.
He will be downsizing to only about 25 percent of current staffing.
So, there will be about 6,000 Twitter employees lining up for some unemployment benefits very soon.
This is what happens when you poke the bear.
Sometimes that bear bites back.
