Well, the idea that Fox News is dead is, well, dead.
Once again, Fox News topped all cable news networks.
While there were some hiccups, Fox has now held that honor for 30 straight months.
Still Killing It
When Fox News and Tucker Carlson separated, it seemed like Fox News’s days as the number one network were going to end.
Viewers were not tuning in to see Sean Hannity the way they had Carlson, and prime-time viewership was leaking.
The network has recovered, however, as viewers more than likely realized that Fox is still the most conservative among the mainstream outlets.
Not only that, but the anchor of the network, “The Five,” remains the most-watched show on cable news.
I was very happy to see “Special Report with Bret Baier” named the most reliable program in cable news by Ad Fontes.
I have always stated that among all cable news anchors, Bret Baier is, by far, the best in the business.
He always removes his personal beliefs and just tells the news, possibly the only cable news anchor to do that today.
Fox News averaged 1.2 million total day viewers, about 20 percent ahead of MSNBC, which continues to play second fiddle to Fox.
CNN continues to struggle, only getting 545,000 total day viewers.
We should note, overall, numbers are down across the board for all cable news networks, so while Fox is still leading the pack, clearly people are looking elsewhere for their news.
