Janie Santana is a fugitive from police after it turns out she was the one holding her “missing” son hostage for the past eight years. As her sick and twisted sex slave. For those following the story of Rudy Farias, it morphed from the celebration of a missing teen located but traumatized, into a mystery of whether he was even missing. Neighbors saw him all the time and interacted with him as if everything was normal. The reality is that everything was far from normal.
Mom held son hostage for years
His biological mother, Janie Santana, “made a midnight run from her home in the wake of horrifying allegations that she had hidden her son at home, kept him drugged and tortured him.”
Things don’t get more twisted than a mom reporting her child missing, then holding him prisoner as her personal sex slave. That’s apparently what happened to Rudy Farias.
An alert neighbor “called police after spotting Janie Santana leaving her Houston home shortly after midnight, just hours after she had been interviewed by police about the apparent disappearance of Rudy.”

After detectives interviewed Santana, “local activist” Quanell X revealed “grotesque details he claimed to have heard from the now-25-year-old victim himself.” She would ask her son, who was 17 when reported missing, “to play daddy.” Of course, “he had to be the husband.”
Police weren’t real sure what to do with this one so “Santana has not been charged in connection with her son’s disappearance and was allowed to leave the hospital with Farias following the interview.”
They’re quick to note that they have not confirmed any of the allegations related by Quanell X. All we know for certain is that Santana reported her son missing “eight years ago in March 2015 after Santana said he had left the home to walk their dogs.” Apparently, he was back a couple days later.

Keep him safe
According to the unconfirmed reports from the activist, Rudy “returned to the home two days later, when his mother told him to keep his safe return under wraps.” As reported, she was giving her son drugs.
“She was punishing him by locking him in a room over and over. She convinced him that law enforcement wanted to put him in jail, that law enforcement was looking for him because he ran away and that because he ran away, he was going to go to prison.”
Their own family didn’t know he wasn’t missing. “She hid from her family. That was wrong and awful.” Wherever he’s been, it’s clear that Rudy has suffered a lot of abuse. It’s unfathomable how a mother could torture and abuse her own son like that and call it an expression of love.

“Farias was found slumped over outside a local church last week and treated at a local hospital.” It wasn’t until the news broke on TV that neighbors learned he had been reported missing.
Kisha Ross was quick to tell local reporters that “he used to come in my garage, chill with my cousin, son and daughter.” Her cousin, Broderick Conley relates that he and Farias “would hang out often” and had “laughing good times.”
The Houston Police Department is out looking for Janie Santana and the next time they catch up with her she probably won’t be allowed to simply walk out the door. Stay tuned for more developments. If things get even more bizarre, we’ll be sure to let you know.
