The Iranians have been after Salman Rushdie for about three decades.
He did the unthinkable… he wrote a book that Muslims did not like.
He lived in hiding for many years and apparently came out too soon.
Get That Bounty
After “The Satanic Verses” was published, the Iranians placed a bounty on his head.
That died down after a while, but the bounty increased and interest in having him killed was given a fresh jolt in 2019.
When you add the hatred for this man by the Iranians to Joe Biden’s loose border policies, it must have been the perfect storm to get at Rushdie.
In the video below, you can see Rushdie attacked during the tail end of his appearance.
He was stabbed in the neck and suffered severe damage.
Initial reports have him possibly losing an eye and severe nerve damage.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) commented on the stabbing via Twitter…

The attacker’s motive and any possible connection to Iran have not been revealed to this point.
My guess is that if they find out he is connected to Iran, it will be kept very low-key to ensure Biden does not take a hit on this front, especially since he still wants to sit down with Iran and work out another disastrous nuclear deal.
