When Joe Biden and Kamala Harris first took office, one of Harris’ first duties was to take care of the border.
Harris denied she was appointed border czar and insisted that she was only assigned to find the root causes of the problem.
Regardless, whatever she did, it did not work, as the problems at the border only got worse, and even her fellow Democrats are calling her out over it.
She Didn’t Care
One of the most outspoken Democrats against Harris was Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX).
He went after Biden hard during the height of the crisis, and he has continued to call Harris out over the fact she never bothered to call him or visit the border.
Cuellar stated, “I don’t want to say I told you so, but it did happen the way I said it would happen.
“I think anyone that’s dealt with this issue knows that it’s a very difficult issue, and I do think she distanced herself.”
He is not alone, either, as Biden’s former Chief of Staff, Ron Klain, was also very critical of Harris recently.
Klain stated, “We wanted to try to find proof that she’d been there during that, but never could find pictures or anything.”
Klain was not pleased that Biden was forced out the way he was, so he is starting to spit venom. It seems pretty clear to me that Harris is not one of his favorite people.
It is pretty amazing that Harris took the lead over Trump in polls after her announcement when you consider she was one of the few politicians around with a lower approval rating than Biden.
Voters on the left also seem to forget they chased her out of the 2020 primary race before a single state had voted because of how much they disliked her.
Harris started to tank after she attacked Joe Biden, more or less calling him a racist, and took several shots on the chin from Tulsi Gabbard, who was also running for president at the time.
