Famous Comedian Arrested!

It appears the public image of one famous comedian has just been tossed in the dirt. On October 8, well-known comedian Jeff Dye was arrested by police in relation to a car accident.

The incident was reported by People and it is said that witnesses of the scene had seen Dye flee after his Tesla collided with a tree. Fans of Dye have been left shocked by the incident.

Police responded to calls of a single-vehicle collision at around 9:30am on Pass Avenue and Alameda Avenue. After further investigation, based on witness description, Dye was located just a few blocks east of the scene and detained pending an investigation.

He was later charged with fleeing the scene of a traffic collision and driving under the influence by police officers.

After assessing the scene, Sergeant Stephen Turner from the Burbank PIO stated “no other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured.” Witnesses provided statements as did Dye himself before he was arrested and taken into custody at Burbank Jail.

The 40-year old comedian/television personality currently hosts Who The Bleep Is That? Game Show as well as Jeff Dy’s Friendship Podcast alongside co-host Freddie Prinze Jr. He also appeared on Last Comic Standing, Girl Code, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Masked Singer among other shows.

Those close to him are reportedly concerned for him and hope he gets help he needs according to an unnamed source from People magazine. Andrew B Leventhal who is handling this matter stated “although no one was injured, this is a traumatic event for Jeff” adding “we ask that you reserve judgment and respect his privacy”.

The star was released without having to pay bail at 1:04pm same day according to reports.

This case will be followed up further once investigations have been concluded by Burbank Police Department.
