Massachusetts U.S. Attorney Rachel Rollins has decided to call it quits.

Rollins was being investigated for what was initially “just” a Hatch Act violation.

That investigation has reportedly gotten much more complicated.

Getting Out

Rollins is one of the many George Soros-backed prosecutors in this country that is surrounded by controversy.

This really started out as a simple Hatch Act violation.

Rollins had attended a DNC fundraiser that featured Jill Biden as the keynote speaker.

She reportedly attended the function on state time, using state assets, which she basically called a witch hunt by Republicans at the time…

Her interaction with Biden was supposed to be minimal, but that is not what reportedly happened.

She also allegedly accepted a trip by an outside source, another no-no.

Her attorney says she is falling on her sword so as not to distract from the work her office is doing.

Former Justice Department Inspector General Michael Bromwich, who is representing Rollins, stated, “Rachael has been profoundly honored to serve as U.S. Attorney over the past 16 months and is incredibly proud of all her office has accomplished during that limited time, especially in the areas of gun violence and civil rights.

“She is optimistic that the important work she started will continue but understands that her presence has become a distraction.

“The work of the office and the Department of Justice is far too important to be overshadowed by anything else.”

The formal report is due out this week, and something tells me things are not quite as simple as Rollins is making them out to be.
