Joe Biden has given in to progressives on 99 out of 100 causes.
However, there were two instances where he betrayed them.
The first being in allowing a new drilling project in Alaska.
The second was the signing of legislation to block the DC city council from letting thugs take over the city.
Safety First
The bipartisan legislation was to block the city council from ending minimal sentences and downgrading mandatory sentences for violent crimes.
The legislation was so radical, even the Democrat Mayor of the city vetoed it.
However, her veto was overridden by a vote of 12-1.
Progressives were livid, telling Joe Biden that he betrayed them.
This also spurred an attack by AOC, who is renewing the call for DC to get statehood.
There is only one problem with that, however, and it is contained in the Constitution, something I doubt AOC has ever bothered to read.
