Even though COVID has become more or less an afterthought at this point, rivaling the numbers we saw annually from the flu, the left is trying to make it a thing again.
An MSNBC medical contributor even went so far as to suggest that we cancel Christmas.
Cancel the Holiday
Every family in the country looks forward to the holiday season.
During the cold weather, these holidays are often what get us all through the doldrums of winter.
Yet, Dr. Esther Choo, a professor of emergency medicine at Oregon Health and Science University and MSNBC medical contributor, believes that we need to rethink the holidays.
Move Them Around
If Choo had her way, Christmas in July would be a real thing.
She has suggested moving our winter holidays to the summer “for so many reasons.”
This idea went over like a lead balloon.
Among the first to react was Ron DeSantis’ rapid response director, Christina Upshaw.
Upshaw responded, “May I suggest we cancel ‘public health’ tyrants instead?”
There were plenty of others happy to push back on the idea of moving the holidays for fear of people getting sick…

I have also seen reports that the HHS may support putting masking and social distancing mandates back in place, which would be devasting to the hospitality industry.
You would think they would have learned their lesson the first time.
