As the election cycle draws closer, there are reports that Barack Obama is holding meetings with younger members of the Democrat Caucus to find an alternative for Joe Biden.
With every passing day, more attention has been directed towards replacing Joe Biden atop of the Democratic ticket.
As some may recall, this past November saw Joe win his presidential bid against then-incumbent Donald Trump by a margin far smaller than expected.
Since then, he’s become cockier about his chances in 2024—but will he actually make it that far?
Barack Obama has publicly supported him through all of this, but given how two-faced politicians can be, you can never really trust them at face value—especially when they’re bracelet buddies.
The latest rumor concerns Obama meeting with some of the party’s younger members and plotting out a plan B for if/when Biden fails to make it to 2024.
Officially, these meetings have been pinned as Obama offering his wisdom to the next generation of Democrats but few people are buying into that narrative.
According to one source, “Obama recognizes the gravity of the situation with Joe’s disappointing poll numbers.”
They went on: “He had hoped that the president would have rallied and come into his own at this point, but that clearly hasn’t happened. With 2024 growing closer and closer, he had to act since he apparently fears Joe is getting too old and frail to win.”
At present, all we have on this matter is speculation and hearsay from anonymous sources, water cooler stories circulating around without proof.
Until someone goes on record about what went down in those meetings, it’s hard to take any of this seriously—though admittedly I wouldn’t put anything past Obama at this stage in life.
It’s entirely possible he might lead the charge in having Joe replaced should things keep going south between now and Election Day—even though publicly their relationship looks fine right now.
That being said only time will tell whether or not these rumors hold any weight when all is said and done.
