The rioting in France has been out of control for most of the last week.
French authorities unleashed 45,000 officers around the country to try to quell the violence.
It was a bit too late, however, as rioters had already attacked the home of Mayor Vincent Jeanbrun in L’Haÿ-les-Roses.
Out of Control
The rioting in France is very reminiscent of what happened here in the States after the death of George Floyd.
Police stopped a 17-year-old boy for a traffic violation, but he tried to flee the scene.
An officer opened fire on the boy and killed him, then all hell broke loose around the country.
There were also immediate accusations of racism due to the fact the boy was a minority.
As the week progressed, the rioting got worse, culminating in the attack against the mayor’s home.
Jeanbrun stated, “My wife and children in shock and hurt.”
He later added, “Last night, a milestone was reached in horror and ignominy.
“My home was attacked and my family was the victim of an assassination attempt.
“My determination to protect and serve the Republic is greater than ever.
“I will not back down.”

After the massive show of force had been deployed, reports did state that the rioting was coming under control, but authorities have a long way to go until they get this completely under control.
