City Descends Into Chaos as Controversy Ensues

The new mayor of Chicago is already starting controversy. The voters were united in their disapproval of former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, mostly because of her soft on crime policies. They had a chance to elect a hard on crime replacement but the majority preferred another progressive. They’re seeing the results of their choice in action, after teen anarchists took control of the city two nights in a row. Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson says don’t blame the innocent children.

Chaos in Chicago

The Windy City of Chicago had a new top administrator blow into town. He’s already blowing the minds of some voters, giving them a case of election remorse.

He responded to the weekend’s violent “Teen Takeover” by “urging the public not to ‘demonize‘ the hordes of rampaging young people who set cars on fire, clashed with cops and damaged private property.

The “progressive Democrat and former teacher’s union organizer” released his very first press statement since being elected mayor of Chicago earlier this month.

On Sunday, April 16, he reacted to “the disorder in his city that resulted in a shooting and more than a dozen arrests.” He starts out solid. “In no way do I condone the destructive activity we saw in the Loop and lakefront this weekend. It is unacceptable and has no place in our city.

Once he got that out of the way, to be forgotten forever, he added the “but” everyone knew was coming. “However,” hizzoner declared, “it is not constructive to demonize youth who have otherwise been starved of opportunities in their own communities.

Let the free range adolescents burn down the city if it makes them happy. If Mrs. O’Leary’s cow can burn down Chicago, why not the teenagers?

Solution: more parks

The whole key to the violence, anarchy and crime isn’t more police or successful prosecutions resulting in jail time, the entire progressive answer is parks and recreation.

The way Johnson envisions, Chicago citizens “must work together to create spaces for youth to gather safely and responsibly, under adult guidance and supervision, to ensure that every part of our city remains welcome for both residents and visitors.

They can take space vacated by local retailers and convert it into “Antifaland.” With such amusements as Molotov Cocktail throwing and mass window shattering. There will be plenty of police cars to set on fire and simulated retail shops to loot. That seems to be what the youth of Chicago are telling the focus groups.

Two nights of unrest, which were organized on social media, saw packs of out-of-control teens clash with cops, brawl with one another, vandalize property, break into and set cars on fire.” Why not sell tickets? “One video showed several youngsters jump and dance atop a city bus.” Nobody ever thought that the city could get double duty out of their mass transit as a venue stage. That’s another opportunity to be capitalized on by the new administration.

Two of the rioters, both minors, “16 and 17 years old” were wounded “when someone in the crowd on East Washington Street opened fire.” Police didn’t even think about arresting anyone for it.

Local conservatives are freaking out but there isn’t a whole lot they can do, now that they allowed him to be elected fair and square. “Chicago is so screwed,” wrote Collin Rugg, co-owner of the right-wing news outlet Trending Politics.
